Description

TRET 20 MG is primarily indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris (common acne). It can also be used for treating other skin conditions such as photoaging (skin aging caused by sun exposure) and hyperpigmentation. Tretinoin works by promoting the turnover of skin cells, which helps in the prevention and treatment of clogged pores that contribute to acne.

Pharmacology:
TRET 20 MG contains Tretinoin, a retinoid, which is a derivative of Vitamin A. Tretinoin works by increasing the rate at which skin cells turn over and shed. This helps to unclog pores, reduce the formation of comedones (acne lesions), and improve the texture and appearance of the skin. Additionally, Tretinoin promotes collagen production and helps with skin rejuvenation, making it effective for both acne treatment and reducing signs of skin aging.

Dosage:

  • For Acne Vulgaris: Apply a thin layer of TRET 20 MG gel or cream to the affected areas once daily in the evening, after washing your face. Start with a lower concentration (e.g., TRET 10 MG) if you have sensitive skin.

  • For Other Skin Conditions (e.g., Photoaging, Hyperpigmentation): Follow your doctor's instructions. The dosage may vary depending on the condition being treated.

Use the medication as prescribed and avoid overuse as it may lead to skin irritation.

Administration:

TRET 20 MG should be applied topically to the affected area. Follow these steps for proper application:

  1. Wash your face gently and pat dry.

  2. Apply a small amount of the cream or gel to the affected areas, avoiding eyes, lips, and mucous membranes.

  3. Rub in gently and evenly.

  4. Use at night, as Tretinoin can make your skin sensitive to sunlight.

Interaction:

TRET 20 MG may interact with other skin care products or medications. Notable interactions include:

  • Topical products containing alcohol or astringents, which can cause excessive dryness or irritation when used with Tretinoin.

  • Medications that increase sensitivity to sunlight, such as certain antibiotics (e.g., tetracyclines), should be used with caution as they may increase the risk of sunburn.

  • Other topical acne treatments (e.g., benzoyl peroxide) should be used cautiously and may lead to increased skin irritation.

Always inform your healthcare provider about other topical treatments or medications you are using.

Contraindications:

TRET 20 MG is contraindicated in:

  • Pregnant women: Tretinoin should not be used during pregnancy as it may harm the fetus.

  • Breastfeeding women: Tretinoin may be excreted into breast milk, so it is not recommended during lactation.

  • Patients with hypersensitivity to Tretinoin or any of the excipients in the product.

Side Effects:

Common side effects of TRET 20 MG include:

  • Skin irritation (dryness, redness, peeling)
