Pharmacology:
Ketoconazole is an imidazole antifungal agent that alters fungal cell membrane permeability by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis. It is effective against dermatophytes and yeasts.
Dosage:
Apply twice weekly for 2-4 weeks or as directed by a physician
Administration:
Apply to wet scalp
Leave on for 3-5 minutes before rinsing
Avoid contact with eyes
Interaction:
No significant drug interaction reported for topical use
Avoid using other topical treatments concurrently unless advised
Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to Ketoconazole or any component of the shampoo
