Indications:
Relief from minor muscle pain, joint pain, itching, insect bites, and nasal congestion.
Pharmacology:
Menthol is a natural compound derived from mint oils. It activates cold-sensitive TRPM8 receptors in the skin and mucosa, providing a cooling sensation. It also has mild analgesic and decongestant effects.
Dosage:
Topical Use: Apply a small amount to the affected area 2–3 times daily.
Inhalation (if applicable): Add to hot water and inhale vapor or as directed.
Administration:
For external use only unless advised for inhalation. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
Interaction:
May interact with other topical medications.
Avoid using with products containing camphor or other cooling agents simultaneously.
