BESTFRESH SV 1% is indicated for the temporary relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or exposure to wind or sun. It acts as a lubricant to alleviate symptoms associated with dry eye conditions.

Pharmacology:
The active ingredient, Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium, is an ocular lubricant that mimics the natural composition of tears. It provides a protective shield on the ocular surface, enhancing tear film stability and reducing evaporation, thereby alleviating dryness and irritation.

Dosage:

• Adults: Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 4 times a day or as needed.

• Pediatric use: Not recommended for children under 3 years.

• Geriatric use: No significant differences in safety or effectiveness observed in elderly patients.

Administration:

• Hold the bottle directly below the cap and turn the cap to open.

• Tilt your head backward and pull the lower eyelid down.

• Squeeze the bottle gently to instill a drop into the eye.

• Close your eye and press the inner corner with your finger for about two minutes to prevent systemic absorption.

• Replace the cap tightly after use.

Interaction:
If multiple ocular medications are to be used, administer them at least 5 minutes apart to avoid dilution and ensure efficacy.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the product.

Side Effects:
Common side effects include temporary burning, eye irritation or pruritus, visual disturbance, and ocular discharge. These effects are generally mild and transient.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
Safety during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. Consult a healthcare provider before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Storage Conditions:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place. Protect from light. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children. Use within 30 days after opening.
