TWINOR SV is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

Pharmacology:
TWINOR SV combines two active ingredients:

• Brimonidine Tartrate (0.2%): A selective alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist that decreases aqueous humor production and increases uveoscleral outflow, thereby lowering IOP.

• Timolol Maleate (0.5%): A non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor antagonist that reduces aqueous humor production, further contributing to IOP reduction.

The combination provides a dual mechanism of action, offering effective control of intraocular pressure.

Dosage & Administration:

• Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart.

• If more than one ophthalmic product is used, administer other eye drops at least 5 minutes apart.

Interaction:
Specific drug interaction studies have not been conducted for this ophthalmic preparation.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with:

• Hypersensitivity to any component of this medication.

• Bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

• Sinus bradycardia, second or third-degree atrioventricular block.

• Overt cardiac failure or cardiogenic shock.

Side Effects:
Common side effects may include:

• Allergic conjunctivitis

• Conjunctival folliculosis

• Conjunctival hyperemia

• Eye pruritus

• Ocular burning or stinging

Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Pregnancy: Category C. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Use during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.

• Lactation: Timolol has been detected in human milk. It is not known whether Brimonidine Tartrate is excreted in human milk. A decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.

Therapeutic Class:

Storage Conditions:
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use longer than 30 days after opening the bottle.
