DISPOVAN U100 PCS is indicated for the subcutaneous injection of U-100 insulin in patients with diabetes mellitus. It is designed for single use to ensure sterility and accurate dosing. This syringe is calibrated specifically for U-100 insulin, the most commonly prescribed insulin concentration, allowing precise control over insulin administration.

Pharmacology:
As a medical device, DISPOVAN U100 has no pharmacological properties. It facilitates the delivery of insulin, a hormone required to regulate blood glucose levels. The syringe ensures that the insulin is administered safely under the skin, allowing it to be absorbed into the bloodstream and exert its glucose-lowering effects.

Dosage:
The syringe is pre-calibrated for U-100 insulin (100 units of insulin per mL). The dosage should always be determined by a physician based on the patient's specific insulin needs. Patients should not attempt to alter or reuse the syringe. Each unit marking corresponds precisely to 1 unit of U-100 insulin, ensuring accurate measurement.

Administration:

Pull the plunger to draw in air equal to the dose.
Inject air into the insulin vial, then withdraw the exact dose of insulin.
Remove any air bubbles by gently tapping the syringe.

Dispose of the syringe safely in a sharps container immediately after use.

Interaction:
DISPOVAN U100 itself has no interaction, but improper insulin injection technique (wrong dose, wrong depth, or contamination) can affect the effectiveness of insulin therapy. Always ensure compatibility with the insulin concentration (U-100 only).

Contraindications:

Should not be used for insulin types other than U-100.
Do not reuse the syringe.
