EDRON 10 MG is indicated for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) symptoms such as difficulty in urination, weak stream, and frequent urination. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck to improve urine flow and relieve symptoms.

Pharmacology:
The active ingredient in EDRON 10 MG is Tamsulosin, an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor blocker. By selectively blocking alpha-1 receptors in the prostate and bladder neck, it reduces muscle tone and resistance to urinary flow, facilitating easier urination without affecting blood pressure significantly.

Dosage:
The usual dose is 0.4 mg once daily, but based on clinical judgment and patient response, dosage may vary. Follow your doctor’s prescribed dose strictly.

Administration:
Take EDRON 10 MG orally, preferably after the same meal each day. Swallow the capsule whole without chewing or crushing.

Interaction:
May interact with other blood pressure medications, PDE-5 inhibitors, and drugs affecting liver enzymes. Inform your healthcare provider of all medications you are taking.

Contraindications:
Not suitable for patients allergic to Tamsulosin or other alpha-blockers. Use with caution in patients with severe liver or kidney impairment.

Side Effects:
Common side effects include dizziness, headache, abnormal ejaculation, and nasal congestion. Serious side effects like severe hypotension or allergic reactions are rare. Report any unusual symptoms to your doctor immediately.
