Pharmacology:
ORSALINE N contains a precise combination of sodium chloride, potassium chloride, trisodium citrate, and glucose. This combination facilitates the absorption of sodium and water in the intestines, effectively replenishing lost fluids and electrolytes and restoring the body's hydration balance.
Composition (per sachet):
Sodium Chloride: 3.5 g
Potassium Chloride: 1.5 g
Trisodium Citrate dihydrate: 2.9 g
Glucose (Anhydrous): 20.0 g
To be dissolved in 1 liter of clean drinking water
Dosage:
Infants: 50–100 ml after each loose stool
Children: 100–200 ml after each loose stool
Adults: As much as needed to replenish lost fluids
Administration:
Dissolve one full sachet of ORSALINE N in exactly 1 liter of clean or boiled and cooled water
Use within 12 hours of preparation (if kept at room temperature)
Stir well before each use
Interaction:
No significant drug interactions
Can be used alongside other diarrhea or antibiotic treatments as advised by a physician
Contraindications:
Severe dehydration requiring intravenous fluids
Intestinal obstruction
Known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation

Hypernatremia in case of incorrect preparation
