Description
Clacef is an oral suspension antibiotic that contains Cefaclor, a second-generation cephalosporin. It is used to treat bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, ear infections (otitis media), skin infections, and urinary tract infections. Cefaclor works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls, effectively killing the bacteria and stopping the spread of the infection. The 70 mL suspension is commonly prescribed for children and patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets. It should be taken exactly as prescribed by a healthcare provider, and the full course should be completed even if symptoms improve early.
