Description
Momenex Nasal Spray 50 mcg, manufactured by OSL Pharma Limited, is a nasal corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of nasal symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in individuals aged 2 years and older. It is also used for the prophylaxis of seasonal allergic rhinitis in patients aged 12 years and older, and for the treatment of nasal polyps in adults aged 18 years and older. The active ingredient, Mometasone Furoate, works by reducing inflammation in the nasal passages, thereby alleviating symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, and runny nose. The recommended dosage for adults and children over 12 years is two sprays (50 mcg per spray) in each nostril once daily. For children aged 2 to 11 years, the recommended dose is one spray (50 mcg per spray) in each nostril once daily. In the case of nasal polyps, adults may be prescribed two sprays in each nostril twice daily. Momenex Nasal Spray is generally well-tolerated, with common side effects including headache, viral infections, sore throat, nosebleeds, and coughing.
