Description

• রেজিস্টার্ড চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ মোতাবেক ঔষধ সেবন করুন।
COVERSYL 4 MG is primarily used in the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. It helps relax blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood. By reducing the heart's workload and lowering blood pressure, COVERSYL 4 MG can help prevent complications related to high blood pressure and improve heart function in patients with heart failure.

Pharmacology:
COVERSYL 4 MG contains Perindopril, an ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitor. ACE inhibitors block the production of angiotensin II, a substance that narrows blood vessels. By inhibiting this enzyme, Perindopril helps dilate blood vessels, thereby reducing blood pressure and enhancing the heart's ability to pump blood efficiently. It also improves heart function in patients with heart failure by reducing the strain on the heart.

Dosage:
For hypertension, the usual starting dose is 4 mg once daily. If necessary, the dose may be increased based on the patient’s response to the treatment. For heart failure, the dose may also start at 4 mg once daily and be adjusted by the doctor as needed. Always follow the doctor’s prescribed dosage and schedule.

Administration:
Take COVERSYL 4 MG orally once a day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Interaction:
COVERSYL 4 MG may interact with other medications, including:

  • Diuretics (water pills), which can increase the risk of low blood pressure (hypotension).

  • Potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics, which may cause high potassium levels (hyperkalemia).

  • Other antihypertensive medications, which can lead to an excessive drop in blood pressure when used together.

  • Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which may reduce the effectiveness of ACE inhibitors.

  • Lithium, as COVERSYL may increase the levels of lithium in the blood.

Always inform your healthcare provider about all medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements.
