Indications:
D CORAL 500 MG is indicated for the treatment and prevention of calcium and Vitamin D3 deficiency, osteoporosis, rickets, and during pregnancy and lactation when calcium demand increases.

Pharmacology:
This tablet contains elemental calcium and cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3). Calcium is essential for bone formation and strength, while Vitamin D3 improves calcium absorption from the gut.

Dosage & Administration:
Adults: 1 tablet once or twice daily or as advised by the physician.
Tablet should preferably be taken with meals for better absorption.

Interaction:
Calcium may reduce absorption of certain medications like tetracyclines, quinolones, bisphosphonates. Vitamin D3 interaction is minimal but should be monitored with thiazide diuretics and digitalis.

Contraindications:
Not to be used in patients with hypercalcemia, hypervitaminosis D, severe renal impairment, or kidney stones.

Side Effects:
Generally well-tolerated. Rare side effects may include nausea, constipation, hypercalcemia, or allergic reactions.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
Safe in recommended doses. However, should be used under medical supervision during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor calcium levels in patients with kidney disorders. Long-term high dose use may lead to hypercalcemia.
