Glipxen 5 mg Tablet is an oral medication manufactured by Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC, containing the active ingredient Linagliptin. Linagliptin is a Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by increasing the levels of incretin hormones, which in turn stimulate insulin release and decrease glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner, thereby improving glycemic control.
