Rupadin 10 mg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of:
Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion)
Chronic idiopathic urticaria (persistent skin rashes, itching, hives)
Rupatadine is a second-generation, long-acting antihistamine that selectively inhibits peripheral H1 receptors. It also blocks the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators, reducing allergic symptoms without causing significant sedation.
As prescribed by a registered physician.
Usual adult dose: One tablet (10 mg) once daily.
Take orally with or without food. Swallow whole with a glass of water. Take at the same time each day for best results.
Avoid with ketoconazole, erythromycin (may increase plasma levels)
Caution with CNS depressants
May interact with grapefruit juice
Hypersensitivity to Rupatadine or any component of the formulation
Severe liver impairment
Common: Headache, dry mouth, dizziness, fatigue
Rare: Palpitations, increased appetite, nausea
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed. Safety during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been fully established.
Use with caution in elderly or patients with kidney/liver dysfunction
Avoid alcohol while taking this medication
Not recommended for children under 12 years
Non-sedating antihistamines (second-generation)
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
