Voritec 200 mg contains Voriconazole, a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal medication used to treat serious and potentially life-threatening systemic fungal infections. It is particularly effective against Aspergillus spp., Candida spp., and other rare fungal pathogens, especially in immunocompromised patients such as those undergoing chemotherapy, organ transplantation, or with HIV/AIDS.
Voritec works by inhibiting fungal cytochrome P450 enzymes, thereby preventing the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane.
