CARBIROID 5 MG is indicated for use in Parkinson’s disease and Parkinsonism to alleviate symptoms such as tremors, rigidity, and bradykinesia by increasing dopamine availability in the brain.

Pharmacology:
CARBIROID contains Carbidopa, which inhibits the peripheral metabolism of Levodopa, allowing more Levodopa to reach the brain where it is converted to dopamine. This enhances the effectiveness of Levodopa therapy and reduces side effects like nausea and cardiovascular symptoms.

Dosage:
Dosage varies based on the patient’s condition and response. Typically, Carbidopa is given in combination with Levodopa. A common starting dose is 5 mg Carbidopa three times daily, adjusted by the physician.

Administration:
Take CARBIROID 5 MG orally, with or without food. Follow the prescribed schedule strictly. Do not crush or chew tablets unless directed by your doctor.

Interaction:
May interact with other Parkinson’s medications, antihypertensives, and MAO inhibitors. Inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking.

Contraindications:
