Pharmacology:
LIT 15 MG contains lithium carbonate, which influences sodium transport in nerve and muscle cells, modulating neurotransmitter release and stabilizing neuronal activity to control mood.
Dosage:
Dosage is individualized, typically starting at 300 mg to 600 mg daily in divided doses, adjusted according to blood lithium levels (target 0.6-1.2 mEq/L) and clinical response.
Administration:
Take orally with water, preferably after meals to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort. Regular monitoring of blood lithium levels is essential.
Interaction:
May interact with diuretics, NSAIDs, ACE inhibitors, and other drugs affecting renal function or lithium levels. Inform your healthcare provider about all medications.
