Indications:
Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose)
Urticaria (hives)
Itchy skin or eyes
Common cold symptoms
Seasonal allergies in children and adults
Pharmacology:
Chlorpheniramine is a first-generation antihistamine. It works by blocking H1 histamine receptors, thereby reducing allergy symptoms like sneezing, itching, and watery eyes.
Dosage:
Children (6-12 years): 5 ml every 4-6 hours
Adults: 10 ml every 4-6 hours
Do not exceed the maximum daily dose or use for more than 7 days without medical advice.
Administration:
Take orally using the provided measuring cup or spoon. Can be taken with or without food. Shake well before use.
Interaction:
May increase drowsiness when taken with alcohol, sedatives, or CNS depressants
Use caution with MAO inhibitors or other antihistamines
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Chlorpheniramine or any syrup ingredients
Narrow-angle glaucoma
Severe hypertension or urinary retention
Side Effects:
Drowsiness or sedation
Dry mouth
Dizziness
Gastrointestinal discomfort in some cases
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use in pregnancy only if clearly needed and under medical advice
Caution advised while breastfeeding
Precautions & Warnings:
May impair ability to drive or operate machinery
Avoid alcohol during treatment
Use caution in patients with asthma, glaucoma, enlarged prostate
