Indications:
Allergic rhinitis
Urticaria (hives)
Common cold symptoms
Skin allergies and insect bites
Seasonal and perennial allergies
Pharmacology:
Chlorpheniramine is a first-generation H1 antihistamine. It works by inhibiting the action of histamine, a chemical responsible for allergy symptoms.
Dosage:
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet (4 mg) every 4 to 6 hours.
Maximum daily dose: Not to exceed 24 mg/day unless prescribed.
Dosage should be adjusted for age and response to therapy.
Administration:
Administer orally with or without food. If gastrointestinal upset occurs, take with food or milk.
Interaction:
May enhance the sedative effect of alcohol and CNS depressants
Use caution with MAO inhibitors, other antihistamines, and sleep aids
Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to Chlorpheniramine
Newborns or premature infants
Acute asthma attacks
Narrow-angle glaucoma or severe high blood pressure
Side Effects:
Drowsiness
Dry mouth, dizziness
Constipation or blurred vision
Occasionally, irritability or restlessness in children
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
Caution is advised during lactation as the drug may pass into breast milk.
Precautions & Warnings:
May impair mental alertness or physical coordination
Use caution in elderly patients and those with chronic respiratory diseases
Avoid alcohol during medication period

Store in a cool and dry place below 25°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
