Apixan 2.5 mg is a film-coated oral tablet containing Apixaban, a direct Factor Xa inhibitor used to prevent and treat blood clots. It belongs to the class of anticoagulants (blood thinners) and is commonly prescribed to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF), as well as for the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
