Description
RAPASIN 4 mg Tablet contains Sirolimus, a potent immunosuppressant medication used primarily to prevent organ rejection in patients who have undergone kidney transplants. Sirolimus works by inhibiting the action of mTOR (mechanistic target of rapamycin), which is involved in the growth and proliferation of immune cells. This action helps to suppress the immune response, preventing the body from attacking the transplanted organ.
Sirolimus is also used off-label for the treatment of other immune-related disorders and conditions such as certain cancers and lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM).
