Indications:
UROMAX D is indicated for:
Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
Improvement of urinary flow symptoms related to enlarged prostate
Pharmacology:
Tamsulosin: An alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist that relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow.
Dutasteride: A 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor that reduces conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), leading to prostate size reduction over time.
Dosage & Administration:
Usually one tablet once daily, taken after the same meal each day.
Swallow whole; do not crush or chew.
Interaction:
Caution with other alpha-blockers, antihypertensives, and CYP3A4 inhibitors.
May interact with anticoagulants and PDE5 inhibitors.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Tamsulosin, Dutasteride, or any excipients
Women and children
Severe liver impairment
Side Effects:
Dizziness, headache, nasal congestion
Erectile dysfunction, decreased libido
Rare: allergic reactions, breast tenderness
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Not indicated for use in women; avoid exposure during pregnancy.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor blood pressure and prostate symptoms regularly
Use caution when driving or operating machinery due to possible dizziness
Effects on prostate size may take several months to manifest
