Indications:

• Prevention and treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris

• Adjunct therapy in coronary artery disease and heart failure management

Pharmacology:

Contains Isosorbide Mononitrate, a nitrate vasodilator that relaxes smooth muscles in blood vessels, reduces myocardial oxygen demand, and improves coronary blood flow by dilating arteries.

Dosage:

• Adult dose: One 6.4 mg sustained-release tablet once daily, or as prescribed.

• Dose adjustments depend on clinical response.

Administration:

• Take orally with water, preferably in the morning.

• Do not crush or chew tablets.

Interaction:

• Contraindicated with phosphodiesterase inhibitors (e.g., sildenafil).

• Use caution with other antihypertensives and vasodilators.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to nitrates

• Severe anemia, hypotension, increased intracranial pressure

• Concurrent use with PDE5 inhibitors

Side Effects:

• Headache, dizziness, flushing

• Hypotension, tachycardia
