Linax Plus 2.5/1000 mg Tablet is a combination medication used to manage blood glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It combines two antihyperglycemic agents:

Linagliptin (2.5 mg): A dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that increases incretin levels, enhancing insulin secretion and decreasing glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner.
Metformin Hydrochloride (1000 mg): A biguanide that decreases hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, and improves insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.
