Longpara 665 mg Tablet is an extended-release formulation containing Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 665 mg, manufactured by Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Industry Ltd. It is a widely used analgesic and antipyretic agent with weak anti-inflammatory properties. Paracetamol primarily acts in the central nervous system (CNS), increasing the pain threshold by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes involved in prostaglandin synthesis. Unlike nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), Paracetamol does not inhibit COX enzymes in peripheral tissues, thus lacking peripheral anti-inflammatory effects.
