Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).
Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD).
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.
Erosive esophagitis.
Helicobacter pylori eradication (as part of combination therapy).
The active ingredient, Omeprazole, is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme in the stomach lining. This action reduces acidity and promotes healing of ulcers.
Dosage: 20 mg once daily, typically before meals, or as prescribed by a physician.
Administration: Take orally with water. Swallow the tablet whole without crushing or chewing.
May reduce the effectiveness of drugs like ketoconazole or itraconazole that require acidic conditions for absorption.

Use with clopidogrel may reduce its antiplatelet effect.
Hypersensitivity to omeprazole or any of its components.
Concurrent use with rilpivirine-containing products.
Common: Headache, diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain.
Rare: Hypomagnesemia, vitamin B12 deficiency with prolonged use, or Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea.
Generally considered safe during pregnancy, but consult a physician before use.
Use with caution during breastfeeding as it may pass into breast milk.
Long-term use may increase the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures.
