Indications:
Indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis and treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives).
Pharmacology:
Fexofenadine hydrochloride is a selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.
Dosage:
Adults and children 12 years and older: 180 mg once daily or as directed by a physician.
Administration:
To be taken orally, preferably with water. Avoid fruit juices which may interfere with absorption.
Interaction:
Co-administration with antacids containing aluminum and magnesium may reduce absorption. Also interacts with erythromycin and ketoconazole.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fexofenadine or any of its components.
Side Effects:
May include headache, dizziness, nausea, or fatigue. Rarely causes drowsiness.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use during pregnancy and lactation only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.
Precautions & Warnings:
Caution advised in patients with renal impairment. Should not be taken with fruit juice.
Therapeutic Class:
Non-sedating antihistamines.

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
