Long Description:
Indications:
Effective against respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and other bacterial infections.
Pharmacology:
Amoxicillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis; Clavulanic Acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes, preventing antibiotic degradation.
Dosage:
Usually prescribed as one tablet every 8-12 hours or as directed by the physician.
Administration:
Orally administered with or without food. Complete the full course to prevent resistance.
Interaction:
May interact with allopurinol, oral anticoagulants, and other antibiotics. Inform your doctor about all medications.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to penicillins or beta-lactamase inhibitors.
