Indications:
Treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Pharmacology:
Prioxim contains Cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.
Dosage:
Adults: 200 mg twice daily or as prescribed. Duration depends on infection severity.
Administration:
Oral administration with water, with or without food.
Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, aminoglycosides, and other nephrotoxic drugs.
Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or penicillin antibiotics.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, rash, and allergic reactions.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.
Precautions & Warnings:
