Indications:
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and sometimes angina pectoris.
Pharmacology:
Contains Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, reduces peripheral resistance, and lowers blood pressure.
Dosage:
Usually 5 mg once daily, dosage may be adjusted by the physician according to patient response.
Administration:
Orally, with or without food. Take at the same time each day.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, grapefruit juice, and certain CYP3A4 inhibitors.
Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or other dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include headache, dizziness, swelling (edema), fatigue, and palpitations.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed; consult doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
