Indications:
Management of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis.
Pharmacology:
Etoricoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor that reduces the production of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation, offering effective relief with less gastrointestinal irritation.
Dosage:
Typically 10 mg once daily or as directed by the physician depending on the condition severity.
Administration:
Oral use, preferably with food to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.
Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, ACE inhibitors, diuretics, and other NSAIDs. Caution advised.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Etoricoxib or other NSAIDs, active gastrointestinal bleeding, severe heart failure, and recent coronary artery bypass surgery.
Side Effects:
