Doxavit 10 mg is a delayed-release tablet that contains a combination of Doxylamine Succinate (10 mg) and Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (10 mg), commonly used to treat nausea and vomiting during pregnancy (morning sickness). Doxylamine is an antihistamine that works by blocking histamine receptors in the brain to reduce nausea, while Pyridoxine, a form of vitamin B6, helps alleviate symptoms of nausea. This combination is considered safe for use during pregnancy and is often recommended as a first-line treatment for pregnancy-related nausea. The medication is typically taken on an empty stomach, with the dosing adjusted based on the severity of symptoms, up to a maximum of two tablets per day.
