🔸 Indications:

Thyronor 50 is indicated for:

Primary hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)
Thyroid hormone replacement after thyroidectomy or radioactive iodine therapy
Congenital hypothyroidism
Management of euthyroid goiter
Treatment of myxedema coma in emergencies

🔸 Pharmacology:

Thyronor contains Levothyroxine Sodium, a synthetic form of thyroxine (T4), a natural thyroid hormone. It increases metabolic rate, protein synthesis, and sensitivity to catecholamines, thus regulating growth and development.

🔸 Dosage:

Initial dose varies depending on patient age, weight, and condition
Typical maintenance dose for adults: 50 mcg daily, adjusted based on TSH levels
Taken once daily, preferably on an empty stomach

🔸 Administration:

Take orally, preferably 30-60 minutes before breakfast with a full glass of water. Consistency in timing is important for steady hormone levels.

🔸 Interaction:

Absorption reduced by calcium, iron supplements, antacids, and some cholesterol medications
May increase effects of anticoagulants
