Description
Thyzol 10 mg is an antithyroid medication manufactured by Nuvista Pharma Ltd., containing methimazole as its active ingredient. Methimazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of thyroid hormones, thereby reducing excessive hormone levels in conditions such as hyperthyroidism, Graves' disease, and toxic multinodular goiter. It is also used to prepare patients for thyroidectomy or radioactive iodine therapy. This medication is typically administered orally, with the initial daily dosage varying based on the severity of the condition, and maintenance doses adjusted accordingly.
