Indications:
Bislol Max is indicated for:
Treatment of essential hypertension
Reducing cardiovascular risks in patients with high blood pressure
Management of heart failure when combined with other therapies
Pharmacology:
Bisoprolol: A selective beta-1 adrenergic blocker that reduces heart rate, cardiac output, and blood pressure.
Hydrochlorothiazide: A thiazide diuretic that promotes sodium and water excretion, reducing blood volume and peripheral resistance.
The combination provides synergistic effects to improve blood pressure control and decrease cardiac workload.
Dosage & Administration:
Usually taken once daily in the morning
Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food
Dose adjustment based on clinical response and tolerance
Interaction:
May potentiate effects of other antihypertensives
Increased risk of electrolyte imbalance when combined with other diuretics or corticosteroids
Caution when used with lithium, digoxin, or antiarrhythmics
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Bisoprolol, Hydrochlorothiazide, or related compounds
Severe bradycardia, heart block without pacemaker
Anuria or severe renal impairment
Pregnancy and breastfeeding without physician approval
Side Effects:
Common: Fatigue, dizziness, hypotension, increased urination, electrolyte disturbances
Less common: Bradycardia, dehydration, gout flare-up, rash
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult physician before use during breastfeeding due to potential risks.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes regularly
Avoid abrupt withdrawal to prevent rebound hypertension or cardiac events
Use caution in diabetic patients as beta-blockers may mask hypoglycemia symptoms
