Indications:
CILDIP is indicated for:
Essential hypertension
Management of high blood pressure to prevent cardiovascular complications
Pharmacology:
Cilnidipine blocks L-type and N-type calcium channels, leading to vasodilation of peripheral arteries and reduction of sympathetic nerve activity, thereby lowering blood pressure.
Dosage & Administration:
Adults: Usually 5 mg once daily, may be adjusted based on response.
Can be taken with or without food.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensive drugs and CYP3A4 inhibitors.
Use caution when combined with other vasodilators.
Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to Cilnidipine or formulation components
Severe hypotension
Cardiogenic shock
Side Effects:
Headache, dizziness, flushing
Peripheral edema
Rare: palpitations, hypotension
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor blood pressure regularly
Avoid abrupt discontinuation
Use cautiously in patients with hepatic or renal impairment
