Trilock 10 mg is indicated for:
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Chronic stable angina
Vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's angina)
May be used alone or with other antihypertensive agents
Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, leading to vasodilation, decreased blood pressure, and reduced oxygen demand of the heart.
Usual adult dose: 5–10 mg once daily
Maximum recommended dose: 10 mg once daily
Dose adjusted by physician based on patient’s response
Take orally with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Swallow whole with water.
Additive effects with other antihypertensives
Caution with CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, erythromycin)
Grapefruit juice may increase blood levels of amlodipine
Hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or other dihydropyridines
Cardiogenic shock
Severe hypotension
Unstable angina during acute attack
Headache
Dizziness
Fatigue
Peripheral edema (swelling of legs/ankles)
Flushing
Palpitations (occasionally)
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed
Caution during lactation as safety is not fully established
Monitor blood pressure regularly
Use cautiously in patients with liver impairment or heart failure
Avoid abrupt discontinuation
