🔸 Indications:
Bigmet FC 500 mg is indicated for:

Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone are insufficient

Used as initial therapy or add-on to other antidiabetic agents

Helps improve glycemic control by complementary mechanisms
🔸 Pharmacology:
Bigmet FC combines:

Metformin Hydrochloride, which decreases hepatic glucose production and improves peripheral insulin sensitivity.

Sitagliptin Phosphate, a DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances incretin hormone levels, increasing insulin release and decreasing glucagon secretion.
🔸 Dosage:

Typically, 1 tablet twice daily with meals or as prescribed by the physician

Dosage adjusted based on glycemic response and tolerance
🔸 Administration:
Take orally with food to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.
🔸 Interaction:

Alcohol increases risk of lactic acidosis with Metformin
