Description
Ceftizone 1 gm Injection is a broad-spectrum, third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic containing Ceftriaxone. It is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections, including pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, gonorrhea, bacterial septicemia, and more. It works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, thereby helping the body to fight infections. The medication is typically administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) by healthcare professionals, with the exact dosage depending on the type and severity of the infection. Common side effects include pain at the injection site, diarrhea, nausea, and rash. Serious reactions, although rare, can include allergic reactions, liver dysfunction, and blood clotting issues. Ceftizone is contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to cephalosporins or penicillins.
