VCAP Vaginal Suppository is a combination medication containing Metronidazole, Neomycin Sulphate, Polymyxin B, and Nystatin, designed to treat mixed vaginal infections, including both bacterial and fungal causes. Metronidazole is an antibiotic that helps treat bacterial infections, while Neomycin Sulphate and Polymyxin B are antibiotics effective against a range of bacterial pathogens. Nystatin is an antifungal agent that works against yeast infections. This formulation is commonly used for conditions like vaginal trichomoniasis, vaginal leucorrhoea, and mixed vaginal infections where both bacteria and fungi are present. The suppository is inserted into the vagina, usually at bedtime, and typically used for 12 days, or as directed by a healthcare provider. It is important to use VCAP as prescribed and take care to avoid any hypersensitivity reactions, especially for those allergic to any of the components. The product should be stored in a cool, dry place and kept away from direct light.
