Description
Saltica (Renacap) 50/500 mg is a combination inhalation capsule produced by Renata Limited in Bangladesh. Each capsule contains Salmeterol 50 mcg, a long-acting β2-adrenergic receptor agonist, and Fluticasone Propionate 500 mcg, an inhaled corticosteroid. This formulation is designed for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in patients who require both long-term bronchodilation and anti-inflammatory therapy. Salmeterol works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, making breathing easier, while Fluticasone reduces inflammation and swelling in the lungs. The typical dosage for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older is one inhalation capsule twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart. After inhalation, it is recommended to rinse the mouth to minimize the risk of oral infections. Saltica 50/500 mg is not intended for the relief of acute bronchospasm but is effective for long-term control when used regularly
