Indications:
Abecab is indicated for the treatment of hypertension, helping to lower blood pressure and reduce cardiovascular risks.
Pharmacology:
Abecab contains Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, and Candesartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker that prevents vasoconstriction. The combination effectively reduces blood pressure.
Dosage & Administration:
Typical dose: One tablet once daily, dosage may be adjusted by physician.
Can be taken with or without food.
Interaction:
May interact with other antihypertensives, potassium supplements, NSAIDs, and lithium. Monitoring is recommended.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Amlodipine, Candesartan, or any component of the formulation. Avoid in pregnancy.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include dizziness, headache, fatigue, peripheral edema, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
