Indications:

Indever 40 mg is indicated for the treatment of:

Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Angina pectoris (chest pain)
Cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat)
Anxiety symptoms
Migraine prophylaxis
Essential tremors
Post-myocardial infarction management
Hyperthyroidism symptoms (e.g., tachycardia)

Pharmacology:

Propranolol is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker that reduces heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output. It also suppresses sympathetic nervous system activity, providing anti-hypertensive, anti-anginal, and anti-arrhythmic effects.

Dosage:

As directed by a registered physician.
Typical adult dose: 40–160 mg daily in divided doses depending on the condition.
For anxiety: 40 mg once or twice daily.

Administration:

Take orally with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Dosing should be consistent each day.

Interaction:

May interact with calcium channel blockers (e.g., verapamil, diltiazem), digitalis, and insulin
May increase the effect of other antihypertensives
Caution with antidiabetic medications due to masking of hypoglycemia symptoms

Contraindications:

Asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Bradycardia (slow heart rate)
Heart block greater than first degree
Cardiogenic shock
Hypersensitivity to Propranolol

Side Effects:

Common: Fatigue, dizziness, cold extremities, slow heart rate
Less common: Depression, sleep disturbances, gastrointestinal discomfort
Rare: Bronchospasm, heart failure symptoms, allergic reactions

Pregnancy & Lactation:

Use with caution during pregnancy and lactation. Propranolol crosses the placenta and is excreted in breast milk. Should be used only when clearly necessary and under close supervision.
