Description
Glitin 5 mg contains Linagliptin, a medication used to improve blood sugar control in adults with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is a DPP-4 inhibitor that works by increasing insulin production and decreasing glucose production in the liver, thus helping to lower blood sugar levels. Glitin can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic medications like metformin, sulfonylureas, or insulin. The recommended dose is 5 mg once daily, and it can be taken with or without food. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is important to adjust the dosage as needed. Glitin is generally well-tolerated, though some side effects may include nasopharyngitis, cough, headache, and gastrointestinal issues.
