Description
Glitin M 2.5/850 mg is a combination medication used to manage Type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains two active ingredients:

Linagliptin (2.5 mg): A DPP-4 inhibitor that helps increase insulin production and decrease glucose production by the liver, contributing to better blood sugar control.

Metformin Hydrochloride (850 mg): A biguanide that works by reducing glucose production in the liver and increasing the body’s sensitivity to insulin.
This combination therapy helps to control blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient. It is recommended to take Glitin M with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. The usual dose is 2.5 mg of Linagliptin and 850 mg of Metformin twice daily with meals. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is important for optimal dosage adjustments.
