Indications:
Indever is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and chronic heart failure. It is also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.
Pharmacology:
Indever contains Nebivolol, a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker with vasodilatory properties. It lowers blood pressure by decreasing heart rate and relaxing blood vessels through nitric oxide release.
Dosage & Administration:
Typical dose: 5-10 mg once daily, adjusted per patient response.
Can be taken with or without food.
Dose titration should be done under medical supervision.
Interaction:
May interact with calcium channel blockers, other beta-blockers, antiarrhythmics, and CYP2D6 inhibitors. Monitor closely if combined.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with severe bradycardia, heart block greater than first degree, cardiogenic shock, or hypersensitivity to Nebivolol.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include headache, fatigue, dizziness, bradycardia, and nausea. Rarely, cold extremities and sleep disturbances.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Excretion in breast milk is unknown; caution advised.
Precautions & Warnings:
Use cautiously in patients with respiratory diseases, diabetes, and renal or hepatic impairment. Do not abruptly stop medication.
