Indications:
Prevention of atherosclerotic events such as stroke, myocardial infarction, and peripheral arterial disease.
Pharmacology:
Clopidogrel inhibits platelet aggregation by irreversibly blocking the P2Y12 ADP receptor on platelets.
Dosage:
Typical dose is 75 mg once daily, as prescribed by a physician.
Administration:
Orally, with or without food.
Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, NSAIDs, proton pump inhibitors, and certain antidepressants.
Contraindications:
Active bleeding, hypersensitivity to Clopidogrel, severe liver disease.
Side Effects:
Bleeding, bruising, rash, gastrointestinal discomfort.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by doctor.
