Indications:
Treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Pharmacology:
Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor that increases blood flow to the penis by relaxing blood vessels.
Dosage:
Typically 10-20 mg before sexual activity or as prescribed by the physician; maximum once daily.
Administration:
Oral use, taken with or without food, about 30 minutes prior to sexual activity.
Interaction:
Avoid with nitrates, alpha-blockers, and other medications that lower blood pressure.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to tadalafil, concurrent use with nitrates, severe cardiovascular disorders.
Side Effects:
Headache, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, dizziness.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Not applicable; intended for male use only.
Precautions & Warnings:
Do not use with nitrates; report any sudden vision or hearing loss immediately.
