Description
Rozavel 20 mg Tablet is a prescription medication manufactured by Sun Pharmaceutical (Bangladesh) Ltd., containing Rosuvastatin Calcium as its active ingredient. Rosuvastatin is a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, commonly known as a statin, used to manage hyperlipidemia and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events. It works by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for cholesterol synthesis in the liver, thereby lowering levels of "bad" LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while increasing "good" HDL cholesterol. Rozavel 20 mg is indicated for conditions such as primary hyperlipidemia, mixed dyslipidemia, familial hypercholesterolemia, and for the prevention of heart attacks and strokes in high-risk individuals. The typical dosage ranges from 5 to 40 mg once daily, depending on the patient's condition and response to treatment.
