CALCOR D is used for the treatment and prevention of calcium and vitamin D deficiency. It is indicated in:
Osteoporosis and osteomalacia
Postmenopausal bone loss
Pregnancy and lactation (to meet increased calcium demand)
Rickets in children
Elderly patients at risk of fractures
Calcium Carbonate is a calcium salt providing elemental calcium essential for bone development, blood clotting, muscle contraction, and nerve transmission.
Vitamin D₃ (Cholecalciferol) facilitates calcium and phosphate absorption from the intestine and ensures proper bone mineralization.
The combination helps maintain bone density and prevents calcium depletion.
Adults: 1–2 tablets daily, preferably after meals
Children/Elderly: As advised by the physician
Take with food to enhance absorption
Do not take with high-fiber foods or iron supplements simultaneously
Swallow with water; do not chew
CALCOR D may interact with:
Tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics
Levothyroxine
Iron, magnesium, or zinc supplements
Diuretics (thiazides)
Bisphosphonates
Corticosteroids
Maintain a 2-hour gap between CALCOR D and the above medications.
Hypercalcemia
Hypervitaminosis D
Severe renal impairment
Known hypersensitivity to calcium or vitamin D
Common:
Constipation
Flatulence
Abdominal pain
Nausea
Rare:
Hypercalcemia (when overdosed)
Kidney stone formation
Safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding when taken in recommended doses
Often prescribed to support maternal bone health and fetal development
Monitor calcium levels in long-term use
Use cautiously in patients with:
Kidney disease
Cardiac disease
Sarcoidosis
Avoid overdose

Store below 30°C in a dry place
